Madonna has filed an emergency court order to stop her letters from Tupac from being sold at auction
IN THE MID 90′s, Madonna and Tupac had a brief relationship. If you didn’t know, it’s OK. A$AP Rocky was equally as surprised when he found out.

Today, it was due to go on auction with a number of other personal items that she shared with the rapper, including her hairbrush and a worn pair of underwear (belonging to Madonna, not Tupac).
Madonna was not impressed at the prospect of her hairbrush being sold. She expressed this in the court papers:
According to Page Six, Madonna’s emergency court order was successful, because Gotta Have It! Collectibles have been blocked from going ahead with their auction and have been forced to remove any items related to Madonna from the company’s rock-and-roll themed auction and website.

She had not even been aware that Tupac’s letter had left her possession.
The letter was expected to sell for around $400,000. His last letter from prison sold for $170,000, but this one was likely worth more because it marked his breakup with Madonna.
The letter which was publicized earlier this month is an apology from Tupac for ending their relationship as he felt that it was responsibility to break up with her over complicated reasons relating to their race.

He believed that for her, it would improve her career and make her be seen as “open and exciting”, but for him, he felt like he was alienating his black female fanbase by dating a rich white celebrity after preaching about the importance of valuing black women in his music.

In the letter he insists that he didn’t mean to hurt her feelings and that he was a “young man with limited experience [dating] an extremely famous sex symbol.”
He offered his friendship and invited her to come and visit him because he would have loved to speak face to face with her.
Another letter that was at risk of going to auction was one in which Madonna wrote to someone called J (who Rolling Stone believes to be John Enos) in which she said that Whitney Houston was mediocre…

Yes. You read that correctly. Madonna said that Whitney Houston is mediocre. Try not to cringe at the content of this letter:
There are a heap of Youtube compilations of Whitney’s most impressive live vocal moments out there, e.g.:
But yeah Madonna. You’re right. She’s mediocre.
